Exo360 Offers 360-View Capture in 4K Resolution

Queen B EXO 360Queen B Robotics is launching its flagship drone — the first capable of 360-view capture, which can capture video in 4K resolution. While the Exo360 is airborne the vehicle can be flown either manually via a remote control or autonomously through the smartphone app.

The Exo360 offers live-stream footage to either a tablet, smartphone or a VR headset to get an immersive experience that makes you feeling like you are flying.

The Exo360 has 5 integrated cameras that enable global shutter control and post-flight onboard video stitching. The 360 video is captured on SD cards, where you can watch it on any headset, or upload it for streaming on YouTube or FB 360. In any case, you can easily share these experiences with your friends. A campaign launched on Indiegogo as of Tuesday May 31st, and it is being promoted as a way to share with the world as a way to bring VR and drones together.

Queen B Robotics’ target market  is prosumers and drone and VR enthusiasts — one drone with 5 HD quality cameras is going for $1,000, and the ultra-HD model is going for $1,400 on Indiegogo. The biggest barrier to consumer exploration of this field is hesitation about price. We’re trying to make it so that general consumers can start getting these new cool experiences through financially practical VR.

Other video-enabled drone setups are an order of magnitude more expensive, and are focused on professional cinematography. And the most common alternative is using 16 or more GoPros mounted to a drone, where our design and composition allows you to get 4k quality from a much more compact configuration, at a lower price point.
