Russian Helicopter Show Features UAS

HeliRussia This year the IX International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2016 , which runs from 19 to 21 May in Moscow, will have more focus on Unmanned Aircraft Systems and will host the UAS Conference that will cover many topical subjects. The event will bring together both manned and unmanned aviation that shares the same aerospace, consolidating them.

HeliRussia is the largest European and the only Russian exhibition that shows and promotes latest in helicopter and aviation industry starting from operation to development, production and maintenance of aircraft, ground and on-board equipment.
HeliRussia will be held under Order #1140-R of Russian Government dated as of June 19th 2015 and allows demonstration of military equipment.
HeliRussia is constantly growing – in 2015 total area of exhibition has reached 11 760 sq. meters with total of 219 companies from 13 different countries presenting their products and services. Over 11 000 people and 400 media representatives have visited exhibition in 3 days.
HeliRussia is not only and exhibition  but also a great opportunity to discuss most important questions with regards to helicopter and aviation industries. In 2015 during HeliRussia a total of 46 different presentations, master-classes, round tables and conferences were held.

UAS industry in Russia is developing actively both in military and commercial field with support from the State. UAS Conference gives great opportunities to learn more about the industry and market in Russia which are strongly associated with the global unmanned industry. UAS Conference’s program involves a wide range of industry issues – practical, technological, regulatory, law, insurance etc., thus allowing you to see the “big picture”.

As a practical activity, test-piloting of the new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is planned for the visitors.

Test-piloting would involve a modern all-purpose drone – hexacopter DJI F550. This craft could be equipped with a camera that streams video to the operator’ smart helmet that allows to control the UAV from the “first person view”.

Specialists from Danfuture will assist with test-piloting: they will show participants the basics of the modern drone piloting and will tell about the training process. Test-piloting will take place at the Danfuture stand at a certain time, which will be announced to the opening of the exhibition.
