Armenia Buys UAS from Russia

Russia’s military industry has started to sell  UAS to the post-Soviet republics.

APA reports that various firms of Russia taken several steps in this direction in 2012. This year, the agreement was reached with the two post-Soviet republics – Armenia and Kazakhstan on sale of UAS.

According to the agreement, Russia delivered 4 Ptero-55 unmanned aircraft to Armenia in 2012. Produced by the AFM-Service firm, they are being used by Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations. Russia’s Aerokon firm has also signed an agreement with Armenia on sale of UAS.

According to the agreement with Kazakhstan, 4 Irkut UAS are planned to sell to this country.
