Northrop Grumman Gets $33M US Navy Fire Scout Radar System Testing Contract

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is being awarded a $33,270,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the development, production, integration, and testing of nine radar systems on the MQ-8B Fire Scout Vertical Take-off and Landing Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle. Contract funds in the amount of $15,844,756 are being obligated at time of award, $11,344,756 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (70 percent) and Patuxent River, Md. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2014.

This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304 (c)(1).  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-13-C-0020).Source:
