Swiss UAV announced that it has delivered three new VTOL UA systems based on the all new „Mjolnir“ to end customers in Germany – DLR (ARTIS), ESG (UMAT) and the German ‚Bundeswehr’ (MUSECO).
The new VTOL UAS distinguishes itself by its modularity.The ARTIS has been fitted out with a laser scanner, the MUSECO carries a brand new sense & avoid system beside the combat proven LUNA sensors and datalinks whereas the UMAT uses a sensor cassette being placed in the center payload bay.
The „Mjolnir“ has been developed through the last 3 years highlighting the following technical features:
- Heavy Fuel turbine engine using F34, F44, F54 fuel
- Parachute Rescue System for emergency cases to provide safe and smooth landing
- Highly integrated, double redundant avionics
- Easy to maintain concept
- MTOW: 150kg, Rotor: 3,50m
