RPAS 2012 – New Take Off for Flying Robots

Flying Robots debuted the FR102+ at the RPAS 2012 Conference currently being held in Paris. Since 2004, Flying Robots SAS France has developed a unique know-how on soft wing para-motors and UAS. The last development is the FR102, which integrates several aerial surveillance and satellite communication systems.

Thanks to a new Swiss investment holding, the Flying Robots company has been remodeled with headquarters in Geneva and is now located in the new industrial and demonstration site in “Sankt Stephan Airport” (close to Gstaad, Canton of Bern – Switzerland).

Strongly backed by its previous engineering team and new aeronautically experienced staff and advisers, Flying Robots S.A. CEO, Philippe Banse, has underlined the following:

  • A new commercial strategy focusing on the civil and para-public markets and supported by a referential Customers Advisory Board,
  • An update of the FR102 driven by this CAB requirements, the FR102+ which already incorporates.
  • Redesigned soft wing
  • “High wind” takeoff ability
  • New and lighter airframe design with better aerodynamics, improving significantly the payload (lower EGW and lower fuel consumption)”

Today, Flying Robots is entering into the optimization of the Supply Chain with its selected aeronautical partners, subcontractors and suppliers, both of them being cost and support oriented.
