AAI Logistics Gets Sweden’s Training Provider Certification

AAI Logistics & Technical Services, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company, announced that it has earned the highly selective Sweden Armed Forces Technical School maintenance training provider certification.

It is the first unmanned aircraft system (UAS) training provider to have earned this designation, and only the sixth altogether; other recipients specialize in fixed- and rotary-wing manned assets.

The Sweden Armed Forces Technical School requires certification of all training providers to ensure quality for their personnel, as well as conformance to their standards. AAI Logistics & Technical Services’ training program for the Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System has been verified to conform with Swedish Rules of Military Aviation RML-V-7F, which specifies standards, training levels and content, as well as other theoretical and practical training elements. AAI Logistics & Technical Services is currently conducting a second round of Shadow system training for Swedish maintainer and operator trainees. The Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System is a product of fellow Textron Systems operating unit AAI Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

“Our capabilities stand on the thorough approach we take to identifying and meeting customer training requirements, as well as the experience of our talented UAS training staff, many of whom are former military UAS operators themselves,” says Senior Vice President and General Manager Diane Giuliani. “That kind of experience goes well beyond the ABCs of product operation and maintenance. We help trainees learn to make the most of UAS assets to support mission success.”

AAI Logistics & Technical Services provides a broad range of UAS training services, and its instructors support classroom, simulation and hands-on training techniques for the most positive learning outcomes. The company’s Sweden Armed Forces Technical School training provider certification remains valid for an unlimited duration provided its services remain in compliance.
