Rafael and Aeronautics to Work Together on UAS

Rafael announced at the Paris Air Show that it will work through fellow Israeli company Aeronautics with clients that need unmanned aircraft systems as part of their operational requirements.

While there is continued talk of a possible merger between Aeronautics and one of the two other major manufacturers of unmanned aircraft in Israel, the company is strengthening its co-operation with Rafael.

Negotiations with a number of potential clients are under way. After abandoning its own efforts to enter the UAS market, Rafael has increased its co-operation with Aeronautics, one of Israel’s leading developers of UAS.

The two companies are presenting systems to potential customers. “We are developing systems and as such we offer UAS made by Aeronautics to our customers. We do not have an exclusivity contract with Aeronautics but try to work together where it is possible,” said Rafael executive vice-president for marketing Lova Drori.
