US Navy Seeks More Surrogate UAS for Training

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office  has a requirement for a Surrogate UAS in order to support the Joint UAS Center of Excellence as it seeks to meet all the USJFCOM requirements for its joint training related responsibilities.

The focus of this initiative is on sensor, voice, and data communication capabilities replicating those provided by Joint UAS and to provide a training capability to the exercised units at the CTCs.

The contractor will be required to provide and operate the surrogate systems. The first training event will take place in June 2011 in Ft Irwin, CA. with options for three other training events in June, August and September 2011.
